I thought it was the Morning Star, but it moved, and I knew it was a plane. But in its own way it was a star, Shinning brightly against the waning dawn, A testament to the ingenuity of my kind--- Man born of woman, woman born of woman, Charioteers riding the currents of the wind! Hats off to you, my brothers, my sisters, We ape-gods have harnessed the forces; We’ve come, we reign, we’ve conquered the sky! |

Sometimes a poem will just pop up out of nowhere. I was out early, getting ready to go and babysit my little nephew, and this little observation became something of a poem. |

Poetry and babysitting, Your life sounds like mine, Art. I'm getting my baby tomorrow. Glad you could fit in this thoughtful little poem. Ida |
