A Certain Splendor The morning wears a smack of Sunday best Moments clad in the softer fabrics of intuitive language Watery thoughts siphoned through my fingers In their wetted cascade, to consider your geography The warm winds of your smile bathe my face In subtle dimensions of spring scent, and smooth skin When the peace of these images settle on the yearn of fertile valley I have known, in tune with my body, true inspiration Then, becoming aware of my fingers caressing those thoughts I allow my eyes to close, my head to bow, and I give thanks Knowing time was not yet ripe then, and longing was an instrument of depth You bring surprise and wonder into days like this, a certain splendor Not so strange the landscape of love, just the range to the crest high above And I wear the morning well now Letting seep the gentleness of power far reaching into distant calm Where I have been the stream, the rocks and the fire Now, I lean wholeheartedly into the arms of one desire Sitting here, considering the nature of a higher power I picture the weight of your voice, warm against my side, and I know Spring arrives in cycles set afoot before the very breath of yet to come Copyright Kkh 3/30/08 |

Kathleen~ 'my fingers caressing those thoughts' AND - my eyes doing the same~ This is luxuriously lovely and caressing~ *sighs* softly emitted *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |

Knowing time was not yet ripe then, and longing was an instrument of depth You bring surprise and wonder into days like this, a certain splendor Not so strange the landscape of love, just the range to the crest high above ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I can not find the words to express how your writing effects me, TD~ It goes beyond the magical moments, it's just so very true and real. I aspire to lean into the wind of your words and soak up all the warmth while basking in the glow. You know!! No, you probably don't, because it comes so naturally to you, but to me, it's so far above and beyond the very best poetry ever!!! Love, always~ |
