Where We Look for Answers |

Buried deep in the basements of our souls, way down deep at the bottom of the stairs, is our emotional cellar where we keep all of our memories and experiences. They are woven into a tapestry, that forms the foundation of our lives. This is the side of ourselves we turn to in time of need for solace in facing our fears. When we have hard choices to make we follow our instincts to this safe place, to view what came before and to contemplate the future consequences of our decisions. This is where we look for answers. A sagacious write, dear Ida. The stairs/cellar metaphor really works. |

Ida, Tapestries tell the story, don't they. Some of the most detailed and beautiful ones - and sad ones too - are hidden in the basement. Thank you for this one. I really love it. A |

Solid and simple, very nice, The piece come off as a tad cliche for me, the image of emotions locked in a cellar is far too familiar. Try using a different metaphor to provoke a new, keen, brave image that very few have though of. Sometimes it is good to take the most simple object that many would overlook as a spore for a metaphor. good luck, -ocean |
