Good Night
Once again, the sun is going down
There were things I wanted to do
I went to work, just like always
Before I knew it, it was noon

I hurried to and from while trying
To get all of my work done
Then when I had the time I went outside
To catch some of the sun

I was too tired when I got home
I didn’t feel like doing anything
When I walked into the house
I could hear my little bird sing

My dogs and my cat were
Happy to see me
Other than that it is a very
Lonely place to be

Silence is all I ever hear
I wait for the clock to show
It’s time for me to call it a night
Then off to bed I go

Good night my dear friends
May God watch over each of you
Thank you all for being here
I will see you all again real soon

I live alone too Rose. I'm just lucky to have my daughter and a few close friends close by. If you ever need someone to talk to I would be happy to have a new friend.

It is 11 pm here in Italy and I am soon going to sleep too, not before sending a big hug to you and a caress to your cat and your dog, and a smile to your birds. You are a little community after all where there is warmth.
