Memories Are Funny Things I barely recall last night’s supper or my first home’s address nor can I recite the works of Poe or Frost at will but I’ll never forget the feel of baby soft miniature hand in mine or the sight of your coffin - cloaked in roses and oh so small I am nothing special...and my name will soon be forgotten, but I've loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me,this has always been enough.~N.S |

I find it strange that it is the most painful memories that stick with us the most. I have come to the conclusion that having felt a similar kind of love in a lifetime, the loss may actually hurt forever. I too remember a hand, not quite as small, but surely as memorable. |

I remember the things that I love the most, the things and people that I cherish and that have left their 'forever mark' on me. Thank you, Ruth, for sharing this beautiful and poignant memory. A |
