A New Day Is Dawning Please Click Link above to hear music and my voice recording. Music: Easy Stream by Dan Gibson From the Solitudes album entitled: Algonquin Suite Painting: Bread On the Waters A New Day Is Dawning by Linda L. Dowd As the darkness of night gives way, To the rise of a glorious sun, ~ Welcome in the gold, dawning light, For another new day has begun. Slide down shimmering rainbows, Be a sunflower and kiss blue sky. Inhale morning air and sunshine, Be a seagull flying on high. Listen to the rushing of rivers, Sing along with cheery song birds. Cradle a newly-born kitten, Speak softly with kind, tender words. Embrace each day with passion, Be all that you dare dream to be. Be one with Life’s ebb and flowing, Be a branch on the great Knowledge Tree. Romp through lavender fields, Taste concords plucked right off the vine. Behold the splendor of sunsets, Sip freely of Life’s heady wine. Stand beneath a fall’s cleansing waters Breathe in the fragrant scent of a flower Walk barefoot on soft, dewy grass Rejoice in the gift of each hour As the darkness of night gives way, To the rise of morn’s glorious sun, Welcome in the gold dawning light, For another new day has begun. ~ |

quote: Yes, that I will be!! How many wonderful ways of truly LIVING the new day you have mentioned here, sweet Angelo Terrestre. I would gladly do everything you so beautifully and poetically presented here, leaving nothing out. Your grace filled pen has once again touched my heart. Here it is almost the time for sunset. We had a hail shower today, but now the sky is clear, the birds are circling and chatting and the evening hues are spreading slowly. Thank you, dearest Linda, for this wonderful invitation! Love and hugs. Margherita |

Linda, This has good end rhymes running through it. I'm working on the different punctuation in the sixth strophe. I'm not good on that subject. Bobby |
