How strange it seems, I'm thinking, as I'm driving down the street. Before me the mountain peaks are covered with snow, so clean and white, they seem to glow in the bright sunlight of this perfect, lovely day. |

And isn't that a truly wonderful view and feeling, dear Ida? Thank you for letting me peek through your car window. Very lovely. Love, Margherita |

Thank you all for your kind comments. The weather here is beautiful and sunny but the mountains that tower over the San Gabriel Valley are covered with snow and as I was driving toward them they seemed so close that I could reach out and touch them. Ida |

Reminding me of some of my motorcycle trips in California...we were headed North towards Bakersfield, I believe it was on the 5N, late at night and as we passed through the mountains it started to feel like we were in an icebox...there was no snow on the Freeway but there was snow on the mountains surrounding us. |
