Charming ladies wake to cry and it’s like there’s no stability to keep the eyelids dry. But what is stable, firm, and set if not and only love’s resolve hidden in the folds of time and not yet risen up? Later still they make to sleep as if the weakness disappears when mind left so in comatose touches on the truth of love’s latent though abiding strength and fortitude. And yet daylight like an evil one walks in to dissipate this amazing force and again leave behind the tears a woman cries. Charming ladies, yes, they are but too they’re lovers wed there on the inner side where stands the truth of love till outward bound it flies to shine out of their eyes. But of the eyes and of the tears ‘tis just the mind that disagrees with life’s preordained patterns that zigzag horizontally on a mismatched colour sheet to highlight only scraps of the bigger picture. Charming ladies, dry your eyes but still the tears they cry confirm the need and feel of a hidden lover, see? Helen / 17 March 2008 |

Dear Helen, wisdom and heart flow harmoniously in this beautifully crafted poem ... and the tears! They are part of romance, no love without tears has ever been seen on this Earth I believe! Love and hugs. Margherita |

Thanks Margherita and Arctic Wind. I'm a bit late in acknowledging so for that I apologize. Couldn't see through "them there" tears, you see. Wind Walker - Thank you so much. I do appreciate you reading and commenting. Oh, but the best is always still to come and if we didn't think that then we might as well just give up. |
