And he ended up talking for hours, about jaw-dropping powers And the sights and secrets that he'd been fortunate enough to have seen. To the World and his wife about the beauty of life and what it all might mean. But no-one was interested And he was nearly arrested On account of him being quite bright green. So he flew back home. Having learnt to be quite cynical About the lesson he gave, thinking how lucky he was to be from HIS planet. Wondering if these people will ever reach their pinnacle Or if they'll ever find the man (or woman) brave enough To plan it. THE END |

I half suspected it would end like this! That's the drama! Clever and thought provoking write, dear Simon. Love, Margherita |

Well done Simon, that was as usual up to your standard. I did not expect that twist to the ending although I should have with you...you really are quite adept at these, now I hope you are composing another as I write because your posts are too few & far between John |

I think I'd like to head for Mars, myself! Mind you, there are those who believe that that is where I come from! Enjoyed your little green tale! Nannu Nannu Linda the Space Cadet |
