A bough that bends but does not break a heart that mends and yet still aches the loss of those we once called friend the ties that bind drift with the wind the long road home O' how it winds it calls to me- unchains my mind what lies ahead we can't foresee the miles behind- a memory |

Dear Edder, this is a very good poem, permeated with melancholy, but in surrendering to what is, you will truly "unchain" your heart and mind. Love, Margherita |

Edder! ~ What a surprise to see a post by you! It's been quite a while! May that long and winding road lead you back to hearth and home. ~ May you only carry the warm and pleasant memories with you along the way! Giving you a warm, welcome-back, pip hug, Linda |

Margherita- Thank you so much! Linda- I'm not so sure that I'm back. My muse has taken a different direction, and it's been almost three years since I've written a verse. This was as big a surprise to me as it was to you. |

"A bough that bends but does not break" The essence of survival, perhaps, is the ability to bend in the wind, willow-like. Good to read you again, it's been a while! |

you have been missed my friend! and, as usual, your poem is superb in it's ability to slowly caress with much impact. Oh I have missed you! "too bad ignorance isn't painful" |
