I hate that time of night when rest just cant be found I close my eyes to darkness your memory all around I wake to a ghost each morning remembering where and when I recall all the smiles and tears and places that we've been A time so long ago you'd think years would dull the pain I should be used to lonely by now But somehow its just not the same. Nothing erases your memory, especially the one in my heart I can still see your face it's like fate didnt make us part. I curse the day you left and I thank God for the day we met I wish I could have the latter 'cause I just cannot forget. Sometimes, it just isn't worth it to chew through the restraints.... |

Tina it is debatable which takes the longest to heal. The heart or the mind. But heal they will & you must have faith and believe that, wishing you a speedy recovery John |

Your words are powerful, reminds me of mine. Hope you find relief in your writing, if that's possible. Love the last lines |

Healing is process, and process embodies time. There is a depth within each of us where the healing waters flow. It's the courage to reach within that matters, and to give the wounded heart relief. Your poem touches me in a special way. I wish you well. Art |
