the things we discovered were secrets
to the others that had known us
something about just unraveling
into each other's nudity
didn't seem to be wrong anymore

and then there were the other things
some were mysterious and we both did
have cravings to explore
more than we had the caution cans
full of precautions that were outdated

you smiled often at my tattoos
and said there was room for more
and that you name could even fit
if most of it was under the skin
and just a little of it showed

or if we left the mrs part off
and went with what was not christian
but I said it didn't matter really
about the christian or mrs
since they were already part of you

and I had read them when I met you
