Long Enough! I've been waiting and been hoping For all of these many years And I got the phone call waited for But, confirmed my worst of fears. My Mom, (long gone) and others Tried to prop me up, with hope But, after all the hopeful waiting I think that I heard, her say, “Nope!” She said, “Someone said, we'd be together. But, not, here, in this, lifetime.” And, though, she may believe it What if, this, is, my, last time? Guess, I've never done it right In anything, I have ever done And now, guess I can forget about The very, most, important, one.
