Gently, Charter Cruise My mind slips fleetly as a zip line cast into the wake Sensing every molecule between us, on intuitions take Listening attentively, for sound or stir, my body still Famished for the traded hours, my eager heart to fill Words tumble, rolling curvature ‘neath frosted opal waves Images and wishes blend, oared on by faithful staves So pierce the sea at ambient depths Salted water exhaled, moist its breaths, Begin the rains, begin the rains Contemplating finger-tipped emotions: roll the oceans Clarity of touch that sings it’s longing to the North Star Radiating where you are in navigations bold Oh, you are the muscle and the might I hold Guiding glide through storms and silence No man could make me faithful, though I am full Nor can you make the rain, or cast the shadows lull But deeply, do I see the turquoise blue, the power due As water, as life, emotions absolutely true So fervently, in thinking as I do How much of me, pours lovingly of you Copyright Kkh 3/11/08 |
