It takes far too long for the infatuated one, to realize her burden is empty. It is far better for her to stop, and see that she left it along the path. It lets her know that it was not meant to be carried all the way Along her side. And the empty shell of what used to be a heavy load, can now be left behind. There is no reasoning in taking up space, with something that no longer exists in her life. A void box is left somewhere along her way, Now taking on its own burdens. Never carry your burdens for too long; They become harder to let go. And never hold onto something, That doesn't want to be kept; You can never move forward if something is holding you back. |

Rachelle~ Your poster name leaves me wanting to head out for a heaping helping of Key Lime Sorbet~  I thoroughly enjoyed perusing your thoughts in this piece~ 'Never carry your burdens for too long; They become harder to let go.' This so reminds me of a favorite saying of my Grandmother~ She said, "Don't try to carry your burdens alone." "Give them up to the Lord-of-your knowing." Haha, thank you, and yea i know, i'm such a sucker for sorbet!!! Funny you talk about grandma's advice, cause the most prominent thing i recall about mine is that she always gave me ice cream to cheer me up :-) Grandmas are the best! Hope yall are having a GREAT day! |

she is Chilli...till 10... but not tomorrow! LOL  heck yeah...you gotta know when to stop carrying something that no longer belongs to you...for sure...sometimes you set it down in pieces, as you are able to let them go, or as you realize you don't "have" to hold onto it anymore. It's very liberating to come to that conclusion that you just don't need to, and maybe, you never did.  |
