Dad's on the warpath (nothing new) I am up in the treehouse safe from his rath. He doesn't know I'm here, I'm very quiet, I laugh at fear. I hear him getting madder but I don't care He's too big to climb the ladder. Ha, ha. Ida Werrett |

Gosh! I wish that I had had a tree house! Mind you, my Dad was 6'5". He may not have fitted in the tree house ~ but he would have been as tall as the tree! ![]() Charming write, Dear Ida! Loving hug 'n a smile, Linda |

Ida, this brought back memories of when I was a kid, forty too many years ago. The house we lived in had a single story out building ( called a wash house) that was divided into 3. One room stored the coal, one had a toilet in it & the other was where the washing used to be done. When my brother & I got my Dad mad, we would climb the tree beside it & crawl along a branch to get on the roof and tease him...then we had to come down and face him. He never raised ahand to us, only his voice & that was enough to make us tremble ! I often think how life has improved when I smell barbecues here in the summer. In the old days we used to go outside to the bathroom & eat in the house... ![]() |

John-I remember those days. My Dad had a fierce Irish temper and a wicked sense of humor. The problem was you never knew whiich one was going to surface at any given time. When the temper came out your best options were quiet and absent. I became very good at finding hiding places. |
