Adulterous lovers, weep as they cling close Silent spouses aching, hurt by whom they love most The sea of good faith will tremble and die The affections of a lover are that which we hide. The rapture of the gods, on earth is unknown For the pleasures of the flesh, humanity is bestowed. The sigh of the world as we reach exquisite bliss In the arms of our lovers and their tenderest kiss |
