What shall stand? As a lonely moon hangs in empty ebony, I watch with sadness… Summer’s smile… vanish in an Autumn breeze, (to be stolen by the Winter wind) and wonder what shall ‘stand’, when even kindness and poetry (said to be their ‘own reward’) are lost in the dust of Time! ~ |

I'm hoping your images will stand...inscribed in stone, long after the dust settles. |

if there is ever a time when ideas, words, and poetry do not stand, i sure hope i ain't standing either. a very grim piece. and i like it. The soul is oftentimes a battlefield where reason and judgement wage war on passion and appetite. |

Good morning, Bruce. Are you sure you're a left-brained scientist?!? ~ Because your right brain is highly developed!!! Unless you are one of those rare men who have both sides equally developed. ![]() "As a lonely moon hangs in empty ebony, I watch with sadness… Summer’s smile… vanish in an Autumn breeze," ... ~ I love how you can capture a moment and then share it so poetically. May your autumn be a glorious one! Linda ![]() |

Bruce - your words are always a treat. I think kindness is trying hard for a resurgence but one wonders if it will be in time. Poetry on the other hand is already here and what is here remains and repeats. |
