I will always use your foot in my mind
to tiptoe into our ocean
the one we invented together

one honorable evening
when everything was perfect
even down to the scars of after

we put on the look back shoes now
to dance around on the metal
with our eyes closed to listen

to our own musical sounds
wondering if they would still stir
our fluids to boiling

if we came in out of our own rains
