She’s a runaway and yet a daddy’s girl hoping to reclaim the solidness of home but, lo behold, the lines of mind once firm, secure, and fixed here and there have torn apart and forged a brand new by-pass Into the world of heart. And the truant child within the mind dares unconcerned the edge until forces topple and dislodge that once bright guiding star into the land of thought attraction governed by the heart. There the mind to mind game that ne’er begets a touch in banishment allows fulfilment of each and every wish seen, heard, and understood. The intrinsic beauty and sheer intensity of supply unto demand leaves her breathless in denial of existential love and she climbs painstakingly back up and into perceived reality. Mourning – she’s in mourning black threads criss-cross, entwine, the opening that once allowed the coupling like with like. But tomorrow and tomorrow another split and tear sends her back and back and back again head over heels in love and to this day the runaway is forever here and there! Helen / 19 August 2007 |

That "world of heart" can be a very dangerous place for the runaway girl(s)....as Dorothy would say...."There's no place like home....there's no place like home" -- at least as far as that feeling of security that some girls are fortunate to have. You've hit on several truths here, Helen -- one of which is that girls (who were their Daddy's girls, that is) seek out men who are like their fathers. Problem is....it's impossible to replace that relationship. Keen observation through your writing, my friend. ![]() |
