We're at the edge but you refuse to anticipate the fall, You're still gripping onto something that I cannot see. You believe in it's power it's ability to stay strong but is that faith enough? Time does not change your beliefs your persistance never fades, I watch you chasing something but I'm not sure what it is. Thunder can strike around us but you only see the rainbow. Why is it only me that can see the damage thathas been created? You refuse to uncover your eyes still blindfolded in the past, hope wraps itself around you and you cling on to it. desperately. hopelessly. Your world is full of colour yet the lights come out of mine. You reflect it towards me but all I see is the black and white of our situation the reality the future as I see it. You're still in heaven I can never reach you. You refuse to let go, won't allow yourself to see the truth, the truth that we are broken and that we ended many years ago. I guess it could be said that I will always be Your sweet little delusion. |
