The cold, leathery sand sinks beneath my feet. Just like me, my footprints become colorless as I press on. A solitary misplaced leaf falls from the sky -- forlorn, like the companionless soldier hungering for motive. I descent in parallel with the sand, it's golden grains grating at my withered cheek -- My mouth agape. The surf torments my arid eyes in waves of watery bane, but still I purse my threadbare lips, in unfitting smile, as I mock the light of the last eve's moon. © Steve Nelson In the sight of Love, fear isn't even as great as a single hair: in the law of Love, everything is offered as a sacrifice |

excellent 'write'! I am especially fond of: "A solitary misplaced leaf falls from the sky -- forlorn, like the companionless soldier hungering for motive." serious, long-sustained applause!! |

Unbelievable! I've been reading poetry for years, and this just moved into one of my favorites of all time. The expression and imagery in your words is enchanting. I'm in love with this! Careful... more of this, and I'll be in love with you. ![]() Seriously though, AMAZING! I'll follow you into the dark |

Okay...now I remember. Well, I think I'll bump this up so it is closer to your Part II. Grand writing. |
