Words tossed and crossed and tumbled about Who knows what lies they tell A hundred million meanings more And some just trying to sell The greatest themes in life explored An ecstacy of rhyme All apple carts and how to darts Directions for all time The speaker calls for order please Or you will be denied The wit and wisdom coming soon All hopeless diatribe A poet young an ancient bard A lout filled up with rage All satisfy their hunger here On this their empty page But many do their hearts unfold With grace so seldom heard That we would give a thousand years For just another word. |

Wow!!! Your words unfolded well in this diamond. I'm sending this jewel back to the top. Excellent. Garfield |

"But many do their hearts unfold With grace so seldom heard That we would give a thousand years For just another word." Only a real poetry lover could pen these perfect lines. Enjoyed this very much. |
