   Time’s Horizon

A ruby sunset paints
an astonished sky
of deep opalescent-blue
with carnelian clouds
trimmed in burgundy…
over verdant foothills
that dance forever
with the mist,
toward the vanishing
  point of all dreams…
that linger just beyond
  Time’s horizon.

May we but dare to follow?!
