Two Steps Behind This is the (un)anniversary (once again) now the 37th, unremembered by the one who lives behind. Time out of his control. And I, just a supplier of his basic needs, as we are co-dependent still... His path two steps ~~behind my future. It's sad, when the steps never quite mesh. But it produced an emotive write, M. |

Well it's a strange feeling to still be married but not to be celebrating anything...he just stopped in for some food from me and didn't even remember it was our anniversary...and I didn't remind him ![]() M |

And I, just a supplier of his basic needs, as we are co-dependent ~*~ so few words, so much meaning... and too far well understood by most. |

this was a finely 'real' and emotive 'write'! I believe (including via my own experiences) that most relationships ultimately end quite 'tragically' these days... I blame the 'externalities' [the bizarre expectations and pressures of the struggle to survive the "Runaway American Dream"] more than anything else!...all of it pools and stagnates to 'ruin' individuals let alone relationships! Applause for this 'write'! |

On the very day I was curious of an update I find a poetic note! Well, you amaze me. But this, this is fabulous. Your insight is as perfect as your hindsight! ![]() If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, |

This is so sad, Maureen. I do remember how that feels. Even when I was living in the same house as mine, he didn't remember. |

Thanks Larry, he still lives behind me in the barn apartment loft which was for his Dad until he died almost 2 years ago...I am still working on getting that full time teaching position (waiting for grades to come back and then re-certification from the state )before I can be sure I can survive on my own without being in debt or losing what I have gained all these years...and we are cordial and even friendly which makes life smoother. We just don't live together ![]() ![]() M |
