In a night Cool and blue As so many other times before The full round now summer moon Goes its way across a starless sky It sings no song It writes no poem That is for us Not stone To make such things Out of fear or desperate love Unable to accept Entirely in our hearts How it finally moves Alone, Detached, apart Like a Buddhist monk Dispassionate Within the ultimate wisdom Of his silence . |
