A warping world, twisted by the abomination of self-doubt With many a mind unable to grasp At the unattainable, or so it seems. In their minds they already see The work involved is much to much to bear, A simple look up towards towering sky scrappers, And the feeling of dread fills their eyes. Crying without tears, It's written all over their faces. An outstretched hand with a 'kerchief to wipe the fear away. A day of work and then their home To rest their feet, and wet their cheeks. Unmoving resentment for a life they didn't ask for- But a life given nonetheless. Cradling their knees while in the bed Transforming back into a child like stance they know all to well what it takes to prance- Free from the dance of death bearing down upon us all. |

I feel sorry for these people you speak of. Surely, there are many in a world like this where we are easily brought to believe that we do not have what it takes to make our true dreams realities. The people around us and the sheer size of it all can make us feel so insignificant. We ask ourselves, "What is the point of me being here?" I know all too well the feelings you speak of. Surely, at times we may feel resentment for our own life--an existence we never asked for. It is our right to hate our own lives and there is no shame in it. Let's face it. Life can be **** for everybody. It is a natural reaction to react with resentment, and everybody does it at some point in our lives as a part of learning and growing and realizing ourselves. Indeed, it is our God- given right to resent life. As it is also our right to try and make some sense out of it all, make the best of it for the short and beautiful time we are here, and maybe, just maybe.. even learn to love our lives, and thus, ourselves in the process. Welcome to passions! |
