A Woman's Needs

Sometimes a woman just needs to be held
and not fondled or felt.
Sometimes she just needs to hear
warm words to make her melt.

Sometimes a woman just needs reassurance,
that connection to something deep.
Sometimes she needs a security blanket
just so she can sleep.

Sometimes a woman just needs to cry
and let you see her tears,
she needs to be looked in the eyes
for more than what appears.

Sometimes a woman just needs to know
that you are all she needs,
and if perhaps she doubts at all,
those are the times she bleeds.

And sometimes a woman just needs to be a woman.
It's hard to tell but you should know
sometimes from other times,
when to hold on or when to let go,
when to catch her or let her fall,

for sometimes, a woman doesn't need at all.

I am REALLY tempted to post a 'companion piece'
  ["A Man's Needs", of course]...but, I don't
    generally venture into direct/'reality' write
    territory (and, don't know that I should!)]
