What in the name of God can possibly happen to a man
that sends him on the ULTIMATE wild goose chase?
The Quest for the ever elusive Holy Grail.
Men have sought her for a thousand years.
Millions upon millions of them have.
Her story is as old as History itself.
And yet as Evergreen as the Old Song sung so Beautifully
by Streisand and Kristofferson in that Great old Movie,
which incidentally was a second remake of a 1937 Classic,
remade in 1954, the initial remake starring James Mason and Judy Garland,
yet to the point.
Can a man's friends and family somehow make him feel unwanted and unneeded?
Leaving him feeling he nas something to prove? PROVE TO THE ENTIRE WORLD?
I will find the Sarcophagus of none other than Mary Magdalene herself.
I will bow to her as Galahad, The White Knight son Of Lancelot And Gweneviere,
my dreams will come to me. All will come true .
Yet he as the Knights gone before him cannot find this elusive sarcophagus.
His search has left completely empty.
And at the end of his strength.
Voices from his past come to him.
Voices of true Queens and Princesses.
Not those seen on movie screens, for they are the work of the hands of man,
men as mortal as he.
They show themselves to him, as real and honest as the summer day is long.
Perhaps even pictures of their daughters
Queens and Princesses.
And he knows then. He remembers then the faith taught him by his Parents
the faith taught him from that great old Book, THE BOOK OF BOOKS,
The Holy Bible. And THERE is Found The Holy Grail. Not in a painting,
as beautiful as it may be, or on a movie screen, or in a beautiful old poem from long ago.
For when others saw the absolute worst in Mary Magdalene,
Jesus Christ saw an angel. And she saw one in Him all of her life.
He was her Holy Grail.

Ah, yes I agree. LOVE and TRUTH are the gifts. But men continue to search things rather than recognize the gift that remains intact forever: Love.

A very good write.

Love,
