Take my hand in yours and let us laugh again Look into my eyes and smile at me with your angelic face Caress my cheek like so many times you have done Kiss me, love me, and hold me again. But please don’t hold my hand to say good-bye Don’t look into my swollen crying eyes that have left a mark on my face Don’t kiss me, love me, and hold me without doing it again You are my life line like the wind is to trees You are the glue that holds me together Please my darling Take my hand and do not part For I will no longer be sane if you depart God is waiting but so am I He will understand but I will crumble and fall Breathe in the winds of life Breathe out the journey of another life Take my hand, please take my hand Take me to your sunset to your tranquil place For I will not live much longer without your embrace Looking now in the eyes of despair I realized how hard to reach for your last gasp of air As I see you struggling to once again please me I swallow hard, close my eyes and comfort you with a loving farewell I reach out and gently caress and take your hand. |
