The shades have been pulled shut
The light has no space to pass
I’ve lost all color from my sight
I lie broken like shards of glass

I’m looking through dark glasses
My mind a jumbled mess
My hazy thoughts once bright and clear
From feelings that I suppress

I judge myself in different ways
Mostly in terms of life
My weaknesses are compared to strengths
Bringing nothing to me but strife

He’s better than me, he’s won the game
I didn’t even have a chance
To make things right and keep you here
My world stuck in a trance

I should be looking through the glass
The kaleidoscope of fate
It’s wondrous colors that seem to dance
The colors that I could create

There’s a marvelous world to look through and see
A world without just black or white
Just millions of colors, shapes and things
A dimming place that should be bright

Looking through dark glasses
A kaleidoscope in my hand
It’s just so hard to see the colors
A life so dull and bland

Better to die, and sleep
The never-waking sleep, than linger on
And dare to live when the souls life is gone.

This is soo true. I feel this way sometimes. It's not just a person who has beaten me, but life itself. More than 3 strikes and I'm out. Great write.

I like this Peace I think that it is very well wrighten with allot of thourght.
We all get beaten in all aspectes of life.One thing we have to learn is not to let it get us down. If we get put down then we must get back up and fight back (Metaphorically Speaking).
