This did what i believe poetry should do---it touched me.

I come from that corner of the world and was horrified this morning when I awoke and saw the new.

It was the donkey that caught my attention, forever in the background... watching, listening but always ignored though his cries seem to say "Hear me", "Hear me!" Wise donkey, sometimes some of us listen, just not often enough. Thankyou for a very thought provoking read.
