Reel after reel and I must believe
life’s a game of cut and splice
when the best from the past
joins with a need
and screens within a dream.

Once done it’s done and no re-run
leaves out the beautiful
and landscapes deep and poignant
keep original intensity
as testimony to
the quality of input.

Aha!  The title flashes; “Escapism”
but who really, really, can escape
until deep into the means
of capturing the times of now
and screening out a dream?

I can!

Wow, dear Helen, you can indeed!

A wonderful self-healing write I would say.

when the best from the past
joins with a need
and screens within a dream.

Love and Joy, dear Helen!

Thanks Margherita - yes, I guess it's meant to be self-healing.  As they say, "First the word".

Martie - thank you for understanding.

I keep telling myself "I can" too

Yes you CAN, Honey! Anything that you put your mind and heart into, can happen! So heal away, my friend! You are a beautiful spirit ~ and poetess!

May the coming new year be a joyful one for you and your loved ones!

Yes, of course, Dear Linda, but some of us have to harness the mind and the heart first before they can ... before they "can" - mine are something like wandering minstrels playing tunes that no one hears.
