 (Merry Christmas Eve, everyone!  I share this special sentimental write from 2000, which I wrote when I was just beginning to write poetry often. Thus, in terms of form it's not really poetic, but nonetheless still resonates with immaculate Christmas charm! I wish you all the most happiest holidays and God Bless You and all your families and loved ones! )* *  The Best Christmas Present By: Noah Eaton 12/23/00 The angels sing heavenly, the carolers singing are too The candles burn with beautiful incense and the decorations are cute But there is nothing that touches my heart more Than the love and the light we all share together, that keeps us warm The sugar plum fairies illuminate all of Christmas with words and magic all so dear Frosty the snowman makes magic to winter come alive, along with Rudolph and the other reindeer But there is nothing more magical, no, not even mistletoe Than all the laughter and cheer we make together, which lights up our souls You all have filled me with happiness and hope that lights up my heart May my love and light for you forever twinkle like the stars You all are like the fire that warms up my heart during these long cold days Your words always fill me with hope my dreams will come true, and protect me from pain The egg nog is tasty, so is the figgy pudding The hot chocolate is tempting, can't resist the sweets But there is something much more sweeter, sweeter than even a candy cane truly The sweet tender love and care we all cherish together, in all it's glory There is much in life that money can buy But for all this beautiful love we share, there is no price The best Christmas present of all is the one we all treasure together All the love, all the sharing, there is nothing more I could ask for… Lights of all colors blink incredibly in the night Decorating houses and trees with true holiday light But there is even a brighter light that shines deep from each of you A light of faith and love that shines magnificently true Icicles sparkle like crystals at night adding evening glitter Soft winter flurries fall down like angels cotton making magic of the winter But nothing glows as bright as your beautiful words and voice That I read and listen to, which leaves me with tears, amazement, and rejoice There is much in life that money can buy But for all this beautiful love we share, there is no price The best Christmas present of all is the one we all treasure together All the love, all the sharing, there is nothing more I could ask for… You all have given me the best present one can have, I thank you all so much You all are the best friends I've ever had, with your loving hearts I feel so greatly touched You all are like a choir of angels, singing your songs of love and peace every night and day I love you all so much, I wish you love, and the happiest holidays… * "If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other" Mother Teresa |
