It reminds itself
in the pale face
of the morning,
where clouds collided,
retreating now beyond the sycamores
in skies anemic, drained of ink

the midnight courting of the green
in liquid dreams you cast upon them

and reverie plays flat lines
from the beak of blackbirds

in rain rows of the afterstorm

the rise of jesus, the fall of sinners

now a whisper, faint

december leaves
lay buried,
in once
a screaming puddle

consoling me
are rivers left to wander

trickling through these hollows
quenched, but soon to long again

for clouds of midnight
to release on me
your storms of glory.

Goddess, I do believe you just "Cry(ed)Me A River".

May your pen never be "drained of ink".

Sometimes 3am is a peak for inspiration to manifest and to be caught, as you did here, in its full, masterful explosion.

I am so happy when I see you here on these blue pages, Michele Poetess.

Love,
Margherita
