A Forgiving Dawn When the delicate, sheer veil of twilight is drawn upon the harsh scenes of day, and cares are soothed by evening’s cool silver hand, (under the star-teased sky of a clear moon’s watch) life’s ‘certainties’ reduce to shimmering shadows and wistful memories of you… as all things seem ‘possible’ once more, in the new ‘bright hope’… for a forgiving dawn! |

forgiveness and the dawn...two of my favorite things to read of, and also, two things which provide so much hope. Very much enjoyed this write, Bruce. |

In a wasteland, people strive to fulfill purposes that are not their own. They relentlessly try to obtain unachievable goals put upon them by inescapable rules and obligations, much as was done in Medieval times, when laws required people to live as directed by clergy. In that world of inauthentic lives, troubadour poetry grew reactionary to this mindless surrendering. In such a world, which has its parallels today, one can only wish for the kind of palliative our Poet expresses here against “the harsh scenes of day”. Perfectly written: “by evening’s cool silver hand," And "(under the star-teased sky of a clear moon’s watch) life’s ‘certainties’ reduce to shimmering shadows and wistful memories of you… as all things seem ‘possible’ once more,” Timeless…… [This message has been edited by ArtSolstice (07-28-2007 11:30 AM).] |
