Three Swords I Had for You.
(Tarot Challenge)

There's a place
on this page
where no ink sticks,
and words fell,
hot from my lips
then congealed.

As swords of air
they found
no less purchase
than other steels
I might have thrust
at your heart.

In that dawn
I saw them strike
and you transfixed,
indecisive, weary
with the consequence
of choice.

Did knowledge
separate our passion?
I closed my journal then
as you turned away.
How short and how sweet
is the stillness of lovers.

You captured what should be kept from what most might consider a total loss.

A beautiful point of view, and I'm very happy that you've joined us here.

thank you Pete--you are a joy to read.

Pete, I like your spin on this card. For me personally the III of Swords strikes terror in me! It seldom ever appears in readings that I do ~ but when it does, what follows ain't pretty!

btw You met this challenge very poetically as well! Good job!

J A Pete,
One can only wonder at those threes words.
Excellent write, I guess I'm getting a different take on this than most, but that may just be my cynical side. Glad to have you aboard.

I know a little about the Tarot but not much
but I do enjoy all of these wonderful poems
in this challenge.

Marvelous take on reading and the double-edged swords of words and truth and the still small voice of love.  ~ Klassy
