Midst My Struggle I peer into this forest thicket, from borrowed bottomland from a place on this path where I’d rather not be, but intuitively know I have chosen. Midst my struggle I see myself in non-descriptions, more in monotone and monotony, with a heart grayer than it should be. I wish I could feel again. Even the sting of rain upon raw flesh would be preferred to this walk through sulky clouds and mist. Midst my struggle I see myself defined by eras. Once in adolescence, a wild flower, a carefree chameleon And then an epoch of adulthood and my predictability as a perennial blossom. Today I can’t recall my childhood. Midst my struggle I cling to one and then the other... searching for a perfect rest from this restlessness, Dreaming of waking to everything as it should be. But then again, perhaps it already is. Midst my struggle |

I sometimes feel like this. I am always glad when that mood passes. |

Hello Pattyricia....good to see you again, and hope that life is acceptable for you. If you are like us, we have all sorts of days, some good, some not as good, but all OK....could be much worse. |

Good to read you again Patricia. This is a beautiful rendering. The restless heart was very clear. ..."Midst my struggle I cling to one and then the other... searching for a perfect rest from this restlessness, Dreaming of waking to everything as it should be."... Stunning verse |

I see myself defined by eras. Once in adolescence, a wild flower, a carefree chameleon And then an epoch of adulthood and my predictability as a perennial blossom. ~*~ Perennial is good. It means everlasting... so that all you share, all you teach, will be here... tomorrow. Well done, m'friend! |
