Content As Christmas

I have searched in reticent
Each snow laden branch
Crackling and heavy bears ice
Numbing my wandering fingers
Curled thrice, and stiff as wind
But
Content as Christmas

To feel and explore
Knowing now much more
Of spirit talk and wild ways
Glistening throughout the days
Surety, the tree
Acuity for there to be
Myself, trunk and limb
Discoveries so deep within
Where winter lays a docile hand
Stronger than was ever planned

I have searched in reticent
