Water glistens on leaves That bend in the wind After a summer rain No sun in the sky Visible hidden from view Behind lead gray clouds There is a somber Mood to the air Wet with a song That no bird sings So one goes alone Into that morning world Sustained as he is By who’s yet behind His own eyes . |
