The idea persists, folks: if your chosen field remains the realm of singer, musician, actor, writer or poet... you are not contributing, but taking! Now here are examples of noble professions: politician, lawyer, businessman, banker... and to some lesser extent, doctor, dentist, engineer, designer; architect or teacher. Is it still believed that these people contribute the most to society? Well, obviously, that must be true: income levels say it all! And so, blue collar workers, plumbers, bus drivers, technicians, carpenters, handymen and janitors to name a few deserve little but the left-overs... But woe unto you if you happen to fall even below the level of the janitor collecting some form of social assistance: a handicap pension, unemployment benefits or perhaps that lowest of all places: receiving the shameful welfare cheque. Get a job, bum! Say the people echoing their government’s lies that the nation is in debt because of lazy welfare types! What woeful ignorance these mindless drones display. Who are the ones who steal from society? Look up, not down: look up there to those ivory towers of power: there are your thieves, folks. |

Yes, our societies/humanity have a long way to go still! Many honest politicians (when they start) transform as soon as they have "tasted" power! We see it all the time! Revolution is the next step ... but we are blind to this worst of outcomes, until it explodes and it is bound to explode ... injustice sooner or later is paid and the price is high. Bravo! and in agreement with Ms Margherita's reply 100%! It seems the rumble of voices towards Revolution is getting much louder, for I have heard that term used more in recent weeks than in the past 50 years! Our government/social system is broken and needs a complete overhaul. |

I want to add that the highest form of revolution would be the awakening to love by more and more people, especially by those who have leading roles. There are some signs that we are evolving in this direction, but they seem feeble in comparison to the tremendous, intolerable gap existing between poor and rich, honest and corrupt people all over the world. If it won't be Love, it will be the Sword! ... may it be Love! Love, Margherita |

yes i to agree with what you say. but every bodys to blame i think because we let them do it. "people shouldnt be run by there govoments, govoments should be run by the people" and how ever they dress it up this is not how it is |

This hit home. We who work for a living know it as you wrote it. Short story: When my daughter Joanne was in high school her male teacher said to the class (because he felt they were not working hard enough at their studies). "Do you want to grow up to be Truck drivers?" Her dad was a truck driver and one of the best, having won two truck driving roadeos. He was a gentleman from the old school. So she let him have it and told him that but for the truck drivers the school might not have been built and certainly not have all the furniture, and books neeed to run the school. Nor would the cafeteria have the food to serve.....She went on and on and I doubt that teacher ever used that thought again in a class room. Appreciate your thoughts. "late" |
