You Wouldn't Know It

If you were to just see me,
your eyes would never know.

That serious diseases,
lie just below.

That each of my minutes,
is filled with ungodly pain.

And just to move each day,
is a blessing and a gain.

I look just like you do,
no noticeable signs.

But my pain is very real,
and some times you can see it in my eyes.

I refuse to give up,
and I can not just sit down.

I still want to run,
I want to always be around.

Though life has changed now,
and I know it will not be the same.

I will continue to live and love,
and walk in the rain.

For I don't know how long,
I will be able to enjoy.

Playing like a kid,
with a brand new toy.

I look just like you,
and you would never know.

I will live each day to the fullest,
until I can no longer go.

so very sad yet very uplifting as well... great reminder of how precious are the things we take for granted each day.
