Thank you all dear people~

This past July 2nd ... Bill and I were on our way home from Georgia, where we had gone for a wedding ... we stopped at a *tourist trap* gift shop ... I saw this precious statue by Susan Lordi and knew that I just had to have it~

I bought the little thing and coming back into Florida Bill took a turn that led us right to the roadway that Mike was killed on, July 2, 1980~

I caressed the box holding my statute ... knowing that my Mike had smiled my way~
(an Honest Injun story)

Our Mike loved the turkey leg of the Thanksgiving bird and I can't help but think of him with the coming holiday~
He blessed our lives ... and the missing is still great~

Lovely tribute to your broher, Marge. I lost my brother a couple of years ago too but I think they live on in the minds of their older sisters (who are often more like mothers) as the adorable little boys we still feel the need to protect.

You have a special way with words Marge

And that is certainly no exception. A beautiful tribute to your little brother.
Thanks for sharing.

Dear Marge:

After reading this deeply touching poem, and scanning some of the responses, i actually broke out in goose bumps when I read you lost your brother on July 2, 1980.
We lost our only grandson, Scott, on that very day here in Coeur d'Alene and he was killed by a speeding driver. He was killed at 2:25 p.m. Just 13 days before his 10th birthday. His middle name was Michael!

Dear Marge, to hold the memories, is to hold the one who was so dear to you again, he will look down upon you with love and share his memories with others. Though they part, in our hearts they never leave.

Rick
