           No Footprints

I have walked this way before
           I am sure of it

           but everything has changed
           and there are no footprints
           no evidence

           was I here
           was she

it may have been just yesterday
or maybe it was twenty years

           it wouldn't matter
it's all so much loose sand

           shifting

              (thanks for the "page", H.C.)

Sir Grey...

it is wonderful to read you again,
even as you entomb the memories
of a lost love...

it is just so good to see you...

thank you.
