When Summer Comes {Chasing Yesterday's Dreams}

Does summer find you still racing down the
winding narrows at speeds that were
to fast then, and still are now
but you didn't care back then anyhow

because you were always to busy
seeking the rush and thrill
never minding if you would have had
to pay the ultimate bill
for the things that could have been lost
you were willing to pay the cost
for those few precious moments
of feeling alive and free.

When summer comes do you still see
those gentle waterfalls
and flowing streams of blue
and dawns bosom baring
beautiful golden hues

crossed Mill Dam's waters
running pure and deep
and the sound of Lady Willow's song

her soul in weep?

When summer comes
will it find you there

still chasing

yesterday's dreams...

I think many will identify with this... riding your words back to our own summers of dreams... I know I do! *S* Beautiful work!!

The narrows was a place frequented by Monday skippin' school gang and Mill Dam is where alot of weekends were spent chilling by the creek. Thank you all, for taking a trip down memory lane with me.
