Letter of Apology

My soul burns at the thought that he gets to touch your body
That he gets the best of you while I lay here broken hearted
He gets to hear you whisper and catch escaping breath
The one I need to live, and still I cannot rest
The color of your eyes, the texture of your hair
He takes it all for granted but you really don’t care
To you it’s just a game, a game I end up loosing
He doesn’t know he’s next, I find it so amusing.

You still haven’t let go of the one that broke your heart
The one who went away, the one who broke apart
The love that through the years was slowly built
And he walked away, without a shred of guilt
Now in the near future this other might return
To claim what once was his, but he can do no wrong
He walks back into your life, another broken man
Now lays shattered in your wake, I still can’t understand
What makes men want you so, what makes you so appealing?
Regardless of the reason I can’t control this feeling.
At least man number 1 got to places I could not
Not only in your body but also in your heart.
Now man number 2 comes back into your life
And I out on the sideline never stood a chance
I got as far as practice but never played a game
You did it all on purpose, just to drive me insane.

I wish that I could hate you for what I think you’ve done
But I’m not one to hate even though you’re not the one
The one meant for the love I’m meant to give
You’re not the one for me, I hope you can forgive
The fact that I am drawn to you out of curious lust
Please forgive me… for violating your trust.

In the blood soaked battle field, bleach the bones of countless millions who in the midst of victory stopped to rest, and resting they died.

This is an unbelievably heartfelt piece.
I was amused by your pen name, "crazy-like7" But you've penned a write that is so poignant, it's a veritable blue Heartache.
