Listening to every heart

0 posted 2007-10-30 03:50 PM

Maturity

he
called me
mature
or at least
acknowledged
so, my works ~
but did he hear
the soft joyful sigh
deep inside

as I remembered

when I
was callow
oh how so
the wisdom
of the ages
from the mouth
of sages
did I long for then

as I see now
in the tallow

the wave I crest
to watch the best
sweep before me
in their gilded words
of poetry
and sigh for I
would be as they

as they touch
on words of young
or leave undone
a treasured chest

for all to read upon

fact, fiction or fantasy
are woven by the
best of thee
and harboring lights
within the night
as they write
their poetry

see?

in
the
flicker of
candle's light
the quill has
begun to quiver,
and enlightening
the chest of treasures
in swift of measure
the count of line
and
heartbeat's
leisure

I
see
maturity
in the
write of
me, as did
he who called
my aged
words mature
and now I see
as sure as he
that I shall reach
for youth and
surety in the
grip of my pen
and in the slip
of me.

Oh Karilea, what a wonderful write truly! It touches something deep within me.

Maturity is certainly a good thing, but it is even better when the enthusiasm and the joy of Youth is so to say "built in", walking along with it, not put aside.

Hugs to you for this.
Love,
Margherita

I pulled and took away just what I was thinking about.  Sometimes thing happen in these days that make you feel old, but it's just Maturity, since there are days i still feel very young.

a most fine and 'well-shaped' write [both literally
(physically) and image/message wise!]

serious applause!

Karilea,

I knew when I drifted in here, I would find a treasure, and that I have!  I think this is my new favorite, but you've written so many gorgeous poems, that it would be almost impossible for me to choose one particular favorite!   I have only been on board PipTalk for a couple of years, but I have seen a very good poetess mature into a great one.  I always read your poetry aloud because of its wonderful resonance.  You are so musical in your voice!

A pleasure to read!

Hugs,

miscellanea

The loser of the game is, the first player who wonders for a moment whether they might possibly fail to win. That is the way it happens, every time.

Believe....know, for it is true you can, you will, it is a certainty. Take this from one who once believed, once flew, and now....doubts. The consequences are terrible....but you don't need to suffer them, if you only believe.

Thy talent and wisdom be ever so mature, but thy spirit will be forever filled with youthful Light.

Sissie.......Across the flowing fields of grain, the shadow of a butterfly is seen by youth, then held inside, until its beauty is seen when youth, looks up.
