Is this for real
Asking me out for a meal
All these while, fun and innocent
Now walks under the brightly illuminated crescent
Heartbeats, crickets, our softly planted footsteps
Rows of streetlamps, our cuddles with wine and food
How we enjoy, immersed in romantic mood
Time seems to freeze
Each time on our favourite bench, amidst the cool night breeze
Our own world, nobody but us
At times, so vulnerable when engulfed by lust
Clearer minds prevail, and we always stay true
to the values that define us, uniquely me and you

My Dear, what if,
If i could turn back time and change my past
Would i end up missing you
My Dear, what if,
If i stay the way it is
Would our love stay strong and last
I had never love you any less
Regardless of past memories that created this mess
I'm not sure if i'm to be blamed
but it hurts being helpless as i watch you in pain
I wish it was me taking it all
cuts, broken hearts and the fall
Silly thoughts and cruel games our minds play
Just ask yourself who you want sleeping beside everyday
That says it all really
Our minds may stray and imagination may run wild
but our hearts says the truth despite it all
and through the rough sea, our love stand tall
Do you still want me to turn back the clock

I have waited so long all my life
to find somebody i truly love and cherish
When you came, past memories start to fade
and together new memories of us are made
Out the old and in the new
Sweet beautiful memories of us are not a few
Surely you know, that my life is about nobody but you
Till today, i still thank God that
it would be you and i, soon husband and wife
with me loving you with all my life
My Dear, do you still want me to turn back the clock
cos if you do, i will try
till the day my tears dry

Hope to receive some guidance from you guys.. i'm pretty new to poetry, and basically i'm not sure if there's hard and fast rules to correct writing. Pardon me if so cos i just thought i put my recent ambivalence into writing as a form of therapy..
