Crazy About You I’m still crazy about you as I see you walk out the door I had you in my arms for a second, like I did so many times before You walk away and disappear; it all seems so familiar to me I held you close but couldn’t kiss you, it was not meant to be. Now you’re with him wishing it was I the one to kiss your lips Instead I’m alone, staring at the wall knowing that I missed Yet another chance to have you by my side as he holds you in his arms And does the things that I been dreaming of doing right from the start Sill you spur me on while pushing me away and slowly loose my mind You don’t know what you want and he is all you have but you cant be that blind Not to see that you and I share a common want To be with that someone but let the spirit fly Detached of all emotions but everyday you dig Deeper and deeper still when you stay with him I know you so much better, treat you so much better But I guess you’re drawn to pain, and when the dust settles I may not be around, to help you when you’re down To set your feelings straight, to help pain dissipate And you will long for me the way I do tonight The way I miss your touch as my pen writes Its pains down on this paper, you will feel so much safer If you return to me and shed the clothes that bind your beauty And come to me and lay beside me… But you’re with him, and I am here, a tear of pain never appears And I’m still crazy about you, you walked out my door The way you’ve done so many times before I felt your lips caress my face It didn’t stop you from walking away. In the blood soaked battle field, bleach the bones of countless millions who in the midst of victory stopped to rest, and resting they died. |
