The words you spew come not from you But those who captured your lost youth, A childhood lost before it’s time, The babe you were still screams inside; “Please Mummy, please, I beg you no!” Lost words unheard by those who know, That little one’s can take this pain, Yet, years gone by you scream her name, As darkness falls and souls do sleep, Silent, hidden tears you weep, Those of a tiny child in pain, ‘Mummy, please don’t hurt me again’. Still fifty years or more have rained But every night you scream her name, Your anger flows beneath your veins, What happens to the hurting babes? If only they all knew the truth, The horrors of this broken youth, But mother I have tried my best, And now my soul won’t me rest, Cause when the dark cries out to you, It taunts and mocks your daughter too, “Please, someone let my mummy go!” It’s taken two, not just one soul. |
